If you are looking for something that toally changes the assets of SM, check out Phazon Hack. The map is very large and it's one of the more well-known SM hacks. You will notice you can jump much higher in this one. You also can't go wrong with Hyper Metroid. You may not like the physics of this one, but if you can get used to it, it is extremely rewarding to finish. Redesign is also MASSIVE, and very challenging. It’s a bit of a divisive hack, as some love it and others don’t. The combat isn't too hard, but the exploration is a LOT harder than SM. If you love getting lost in HUGE maps, I would recommend Z Factor. The beginning is a little weird, but once it gets going, it is awesome. I would definitely start there as it is the most polished, and one of the most fun hacks. Many would agree, as it is the highest rated hack on Metroid Construction (4.9/5).
